The Paralogue missions in Fire Emblem Fates allow you to explore the side content that the game has to offer, and also to recruit some side characters. All of the Paralogue missions, aside from the very first one, will require you to get all of your male characters up to S rank with another female character. Aside from the male characters, you also need your avatar and Azura to achieve S ranks with other characters too.

By doing this, your various pairings will be able to birth a child, and this will unlock their respective Paralogue missions, allowing you to recruit them for your party.
- Paralogue 2 – Have the protagonist reach S rank with another character
- Paralogue 3 – Have Azura reach S rank with another male character
- Paralogue 4 – Have Jakob reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 5 – Have Silas reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 6 – Have Kaze reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 15 – Have Xander reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 16 – Have Leo reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 17 – Have Benny reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 18 – Have Keaton reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 19 – Have Arthur reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 20 – Have Odin reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 21 – Have Laslow reach S rank with another female character
- Paralogue 22 – Have Niles reach S rank with another female character
