The Smaller Game – Limbo

Limbo

After the larger games, usually a smaller indie games makes the list as well. For October 2019, Limbo would be a perfect inclusion alongside Alien: Isolation.

Following the arguments put for more scary games usually being on Games with Gold for the month of October, Limbo is a black and white side-scroller where you control a young boy who solves puzzles while also avoiding many upsetting situations and creepy monsters.

Every screenshot for the game basically screams Halloween.

Limbo has also already been offered of PS Plus back in August 2015, which can hint that it is more likely to come to Games with Gold in the future. When a game is offered on PS Plus, there usually is a greater chance it will come to Games with Gold as well since the developers have already expressed offering their title for free is in their best interests.

We have seen this happen in the past numerous times, like Gone Home coming to PS Plus in June 2016 and then Games with Gold in October 2017, or Metal Gear Solid V coming to PS Plus in October 2017 and then Games with Gold in May 2018.

Make sure to check back in the next few weeks for Microsoft’s reveal of its official Games with Gold line-up for October 2019.

And while you wait, why not check out a comparison of September 2019’s PS Plus and Games with Gold free games lists to see whether Sony or Microsoft did it better?
