The Smaller Game – AereA

Xbox Games with Gold Predictions

Along with a larger AAA Xbox One titles, usually a smaller indie (often times on Xbox 360) is included on Games with Gold as well.

For next month we suspect music-themed Action RPG AereA will be a likely inclusion.

The biggest argument to its case for inclusion is it is currently a whopping 90% off down from $29.99 to just $2.99. Often when indie games go on sale to such a low price, it’s indicative they will be offered on Games with Gold sometime very soon.

AereA released back in June 2017, and offers both local and multiplayer co-op. In AereA you are tasked with finding the nine primordial instruments in order to restore the floating island of Aezir. Character weapons are infused with musical instruments including trumpet guns, cello swords, and harp bows.

Check back with Twinfinite in the next week or so for the official announcement from Microsoft as to what free games are offered on Xbox Games with Gold for January 2021.
