Hitman 2

IO Interactive struck gold with its reboot of the Hitman franchise back in 2016. Though its episodic format struck many as odd initially, it actually made sense in the grand scheme of things, allowing players to thoroughly explore the endless possibilities of each level before the next location dropped. However, in doing so, it broke up the story told throughout the game, leaving many fans eagerly awaiting the next chunk.

Alas, IO Interactive has dropped this format for Hitman 2, allowing players to play through the entire game and story at whatever pace they like. To ensure players have ample reason to return to each location in the new game, there will be live events and targets that need to be taken down in a multitude of different ways. Essentially, IO Interactive is trying to offer players the best of both the episodic, and full release formats, and we can’t wait to get busy assassinating with Agent 47 all over again.

Hitman 2 is releasing on Xbox One, PC, and PS4 on Nov. 13.
