For anyone that already owns the base version of Final Fantasy XV, the good news is that you don’t need to buy the Royal Edition. The bad news is that you will still need to shell out a few bucks. The Royal Pack will be available as a separate DLC for the game, running $15. Of course, it comes with all of the new features stated in the Royal Edition above, but you won’t get the existing DLC or Season Pass content in this one. Surprisingly, the Royal Pack also won’t be the final piece of DLC coming for Final Fantasy XV.

There are four more character episodes planned for the game, similar to the three already released. We know that one of these episodes will focus on the game’s villain Ardyn, but the others are anyone’s guess. These episodes will carry into the beginning of 2019, meaning Final Fantasy XV will still be receiving new content over two years after release. It also just so happens that the game’s director recently asked fans if they’d want to see a super happy or super sad alternate ending, so who knows what else we might see.
