Seriously, What’s Happening With Skull and Bones?
Unanswered Questions We Have After Ubisoft’s E3 2021 Showcase
Its troubled development cycle aside, one can’t deny Skull and Bones has a lot of potential.
Like Sea of Thieves, it aims to drop players into a multiplayer world of piracy with ship battles, exploration, and high-seas adventures. Unlike sea of Thieves though, it looks to have a grittier, more realistic approach to the pirate mythos which might resonate with some players better than Rare’s pirate adventure ever has.
Unfortunately, it seems no closer to releasing now than when it was originally revealed. Just last month, the game was delayed again, and there hasn’t been a new update or substantial trailer for the title in years.
As such, we’re dying to know: What’s happening with the new IP? Was it an idea that has taken a long time to flesh out, and will wow gamers upon release? Or, is it vaporware that will never see the light of day?
