The Division: How to Change Server

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

The Division requires all players to log-in to the servers at all times due to the MMO nature of the game. Therefore, sometimes you may find yourself needing to change your server because you’re having some connectivity issues or other problems. Here’s what to do in these cases.

To change which server you’re playing on it’s actually really simple. All you have to do is hit the start button and select the option to log out. This should be Triangle on PS4 and ‘Y’ on Xbox One. Once you’ve done this simply log back in as you normally would do.

It’s important to note at this point, however, that logging out and back in again doesn’t guarantee that you’ll end up on a different server. There’s always the slight possibility that you could end up back on the one you just logged out from.
