How to Save Your Game in Little Nightmares
While Little Nightmares is quite a short experience, it’s possible that you might not be able to finish it in one sitting. As such, you may want to know how to save your game so you can pick up where you left off. Here’s what you need to know to save your game in Little Nightmares.
Little Nightmares actually uses a checkpoint system that you’ll have to activate yourself. As you make your way through the game, you’ll occasionally notice little lanterns that can be lit with Six’s lighter. By doing this, you’ll set up a checkpoint which allows you to return to that point if you die, rather than further back.
Alongside these lanterns are a number of auto-save points the game will bring you back to if you opted to not light the lanterns. These aren’t quite as frequent as the lanterns, but you still won’t find yourself having to retrace huge amounts of platforming to get back up to where you were up to.
If you want to exit the game and continue playing next time, either wait for the auto-save indicator in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen that looks like an eye, or wait until you’ve lit a lantern. Little Nightmares will also automatically save at the end of each chapter, too.
