Here’s Every Japanese Game Shown at Sony’s E3 2017 Press Conference

Not too bad of a haul.

Final Fantasy XV: Monster of the Deep

I certainly hope Layden didn’t have this particular game in mind when he talked about major Japanese game releases. Final Fantasy XV’s VR companion game was announced at E3 last year, and it’s still a thing. It’s called Monster of the Deep, and it has a heavy focus on Final Fantasy XV’s own fishing mini game.

Players with the PSVR headset will be able to jump into the game and hang out with Noctis and the boys as they go on little fishing trips together and check out the marine life they manage to get their hands on. The trailer didn’t really show too much of the titular monster of the deep, but we’re assuming that there’s some sort of boss fish you’ll have to catch at the end of the game.

Final Fantasy XV: Monster of the Deep is coming exclusively to PSVR, but there’s no release date for it just yet.
