DOOM Eternal Gameplay and Release Date
If there’s an FPS this console generation that is as satisfying to play as it is gory, it’s got to be 2016’s DOOM. Developed by id Software, the title was incredibly fluid and had us literally tearing the limbs off demons and chainsawing others in half.
It was a wonderful, gory bloodfest that everyone really should play. If you couldn’t tell… we really like DOOM.
So when Bethesda went ahead and announced DOOM Eternal during their conference last E3, myself and many others were delighted we’d get to return to hell to blast the crap out of more demons… and maybe rip off some more limbs, too.
Since then, it’s been fairly quiet for id’s sci-fi shooter, and we can only assume that’s because the developer’s been hard at work polishing the game up for a big blowout at this year’s E3.
Considering three tower blocks in LA have been taken over by a DOOM Eternal promo, and just today the official DOOM Twitter account tweeted out an E3 2019 teaser, we’re pretty sure we’ve got this one in the bag.
Exactly what it’ll entail, however, remains to be seen. We’d hedge our bets that we’ll get a gameplay demo of some sort to show off a range of new weapons and brutal executions, all rounded off by the reveal of a 2019 release date.
You want a narrower window than simply 2019? Fine, we’ll predict early October 2019.
