Leveling up will be a necessity in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. You’re only as strong as your team of Digimon so you’ll need to get them all into fighting shape. If you’re simply relying on random encounters while you’re exploring the Digital World than you’ll soon find out that it’s going to take a lot longer than anticipated.
Luckily, there are a few things in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth that will help to expedite the process and keep you rolling in XP. The best part is that none of them are especially difficult to do.
Tournaments
On the top floor of Nakano (where the Detective Agency is located) you’ll find an arcade. This is where the offline Colosseum is located. You will go through a string of battles between which you cannot heal, so bring your best team. But, to be perfectly honest, the fights aren’t very difficult. You can breeze through with three tier 2 Digimon with ease. After each round you’ll get plenty of XP and you will level up many times within one tournament. So bring as many as you can carry in your Reserves as well.
Cases
After a little over an hour into Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, you’ll be able to take on cases. In the beginning they’re relatively simple (talk to this person, collect that item, etc.), but they become more complex as you progress. They are never incredibly difficult though. Even better is the fact that you will often face a somewhat powerful Digimon at the end which will help you level up quickly. On top of that, there are items you can earn that will give XP (large amounts of it too).
Loading Digimon
Loading Digimon means you’ll take up to five creatures you don’t want into one that you want to make more powerful. This is a quick an easy way to stock up on XP. To make this process work the best, keep Digivolving the monsters in your farm. They’ll be perfect for loading since higher forms net greater rewards.
These three methods mixed with a bit of standard encounter farming will have you leveling up in no time.
