Xur’s Tag – Destiny: The Dawning

Recommended Videos

Destiny’s newest event, The Dawning, brings the holidays to the Tower along with new quests, gear, and some new types of loot boxes for players to get. When you first head to the Tower to collect all of your The Dawning quests, you’ll notice a bunch of presents near the huge doors where you used to access the Iron Banner.

To the back of the group of gifts are three larger boxes which you can’t simply open. One of these boxes requires something called Xur’s Tag. This isn’t an item you just find or purchase. It turns out that it’s actually a reward from the event’s Record Book. As you complete challenges in the book (half apply to SRL and the other applies to Strikes), you’ll earn experience.

With each level, you’ll earn rewards ranging from Emblems to actual pieces of gear. The reward for reaching Level 7 is the Xur’s Tag you’re looking for. It will require completing a lot of the challenges, but once you do, just head into the book and claim your reward. Now head back to the Tower and open your box to see what’s inside. Hopefully you get something good.

Happy holidays and safe travels, Guardians.
