How to Get Ornaments in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

If you kept up with Destiny for a while after year one, then you are aware of the Ornament system that allowed you to decorate your exotic weapon. These Ornaments were weapon-specific and were coveted by many Guardians throughout the game, as they let you really put your own mark on the powerful weapons that you can find. Ornaments return in Destiny 2 and are obtained in much the same way as they were in the first game.

Eververse has returned, along with a ton of new cosmetic items, among which are some Ornaments for all of the new exotic weapons in Destiny 2. You have two ways of nabbing these as you play. The first is from Bright Engrams. These always have a chance of dropping any one of the many items that Tess Everis is offering, which includes these exotic ornaments.

The second is to buy them directly, though this works a bit differently. You’ll need Silver Dust, which is obtained by dismantling items you get from Bright Engrams. Also, not all ornaments are for sale at once. Everis’ offerings in Destiny 2 rotate, so if you want to purchase a single specific Ornament, you’ll need to check back in every so often to see what’s new.

Once you have the Ornament, go into your inventory to equip it, simple as that.
