With Dark Souls’ third and final title releasing last year, many fans will be wondering exactly where they’ll get their next fix of punishing combat and dark fantasy. Well, many will be hoping that a sequel to the PS4 exclusive, Bloodborne will arrive sooner rather than later to scratch the itch.
Bloodborne changed things up a little from the Dark Souls series, encouraging players to play more offensively thanks to its Regain mechanic. Its fast and tactical combat, combined with superior creature and level design makes Bloodborne stand out from the Dark Souls series, while retaining some of its very best components. Though the first title did suffer quite heavily from load time issues, From Software’s experience with the current gen systems should avoid a repeat performance in a possible sequel. Here’s hoping we hear something about it soon.
