Sony Is Lying and They Do Have Something to Say About the PlayStation 5

Sony has already said that the PS5 won’t be at E3. But, we have been lied to by game developers and publishers before. It doesn’t even have to be a full reveal. If Sony says anything about the future of the PlayStation brand beyond the PS4, it would send fans into a frenzy.
Sony has dominated the current generation with the PlayStation 4. The Switch is gaining ground quickly, sure, but it’s still just getting its feet wet and Microsoft just recently released the Xbox One X in hopes to attract gamers interested in the best looking games possible on home consoles. If Sony were to get the jump on capturing gamers’ imaginations on the next generation of consoles, it could put a wrench into both Microsoft and Nintendo’s current and future plans.
Fans that are currently happy with the PlayStation 4 may reconsider purchasing an alternate console if a PlayStation 5 is looming on the horizon. It would also force Microsoft and Nintendo’s hand. They would need to do something dramatic, because just going with the current status quo, and letting Sony dictate the terms of the next generation, would not be ideal for those two to say the least.
