The video features one of the new characters who will be included as new entries from 2.0, and it’s Akatsuki from Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf. Achse to take center stage. He certainly comes from a rather obscure series unless you’re really a big fighting game fans, but he certainly looks awesome.

You can watch hus moves in action below, with a handy explanation in a language most of us can understand (contrary to the previously-released trailer in Japanese).

The new characters come from five different franchises, and you can find a handy list below.

  • Yumi (Senran Kagura Estival Versus),
  • Neo Politan (RWBY),
  • Akatsuki (Akatsuki Blitzkampf)
  • Blitztank (Akatsuki Blitzkampf)
  • Celica (BlazBlue)
  • Elizabeth (P4A)
  • Adachi (P4AU)
  • Hilda (Under Night In-Birth)
  • Susanoo (BlazBlue)

The expansion pack will cost $24.99 in the west and will also add a new scenario.

Arc System Works will also release a 2.0 balance patch, so those who don’t buy the expansion will still be able to play against those who will online without any barriers.

Both the expansion and the patch will be released on November 21 for all platforms.

If you want to see more,  you can enjoy a trailer released at EVOanother revealing the second half of the casta trailer dedicated to Neo Politan, and one focusing on Yumi.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is currently available for PS4, Switch, and PC. The latest major update was numbered 1.5 and it came in May, adding Heart Aino from Arcana Heart 3 LoveMax Six Stars!!!!!! and more.
