Best Games to Look Forward to in February 2018

Kingdom Come: Deliverance looks like one of the meatier experiences releasing in February 2018. Taking place during the Holy Roman Empire period, players will find themselves right in the center of a civil war, with their village being raided by the opposing forces. As you may have guessed then, it’ll come down to you, the blacksmith’s son, to avenge the deaths of the fallen, while also pushing back and defeating the invading forces.

It’s not just the fact that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a story-driven RPG that makes it such a massive experience, though. It’s the open-endedness of just about every element of the game that makes it so intriguing. You’re given the freedom to complete quests in a multitude of ways, each one offering a different outcome and affecting the way the world will react to you. It gives us Fable morality meter vibes, only a little more complex. Throw in ultra-realistic sword combat and a historically accurate narrative into the mix and you’ve got a recipe for potentially one of those boldest and most compelling video game experiences in 2018, let alone February.

Here’s hoping developer Warhorse Studios manages to deliver (I’m sorry) for its ambitious vision when it arrives on Feb. 13.
