Overkill’s The Walking Dead

overkill's the walking dead

So, Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a clear victim of missed potential and lack of polish. The game’s levels are fun and intricate, the puzzle-solving can be challenging and fun to work out with friends.

However, there are several other weird systems and mechanics that hold it back from being the fun, Walking Dead-worthy co-op shooter we know it can be.

But at its core, while it might not blow your socks off as the next Left 4 Dead, it’s still an extremely fun time if you’re just looking for a decent co-op shooter to play while kicking back with a few friends.

With the game’s interesting sound/alarm system, players have to work together to make sure they’re not attracting too much attention, while also watching each other’s backs to avoid ugly situations.

Whether the game is worth it at full price is a decision we’ll leave up to you, but we won’t deny that we had a considerable amount of fun punching zombies to death in this one.
