(Home Stretch: 7/23 – 7/31)

The end of July 2017 falls back on some smaller titles with a port of Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star on the Nintendo Switch, early access for Fortnite as we await a full release, and Pyre, a small indie game from Supergiant (known for the critically-acclaimed Bastion and Transistor). There is one major release of the final days, though, and that once again comes from Nintendo. Hey! Pikmin is taking Captain Olimar to an entirely new world, the 3DS, in a 2D platformer which should shake up how you utilize your Pikmin pals and approach the new puzzles. Three cheers for the house that Mario built keeping July a month to pay close attention to.

Here’s what July 2017 has left for gamers:

  • July 25 – Aven Colony (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  • July 25 – Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star (Switch)
  • July 25 – Fortnite Early Access (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  • July 25 – Pyre (PS4)
  • July 25 – Super CloudBuilt (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  • July 28 – Hey! Pikmin (3DS)
