Wargroove is meant to be a spiritual successor to the Advance Wars series that Nintendo has seemed to forget all about.
Just like Advance Wars, Wargroove is a tactics-based strategy game that puts you in charge of a number of troops while you take down your enemies on a variety of maps.
The time between fights in Advance Wars gives the player short cutscenes to flesh out the story, with the game putting a focus on the action-packed battles. The writing is also very good with little quips and witty moments to keep the story going.
Wargroove could be a nice fit for mobile devices as there are no complicated button inputs or commands, letting you use your fingers to control your army with precision.
