Battletoads

It’s been a very, very long time since we saw an entry in the notoriously difficult Battletoads series. It was (and still is) revered as one of the most difficult games on the NES, and was all the more hectic when a second player entered the brawl.

Considering Battletoads’ notoriety, we were genuinely surprised when Microsoft announced a reboot last E3, and even more, surprised when they had the guts to show it off this year. From the looks of it, Battletoads seems to be just as off-the-wall ridiculous as it was way back on the NES.

Some people might be turned off by the cartoon art-style, but so long as the beat-em-up action is strong enough, we’re still looking forward to it. We doubt that it will be as difficult as the NES original, but perhaps that’s for the best.
