How to Cook in The Wild Eight

If you’re going to survive the harsh terrain of The Wild Eight, you’ll need to make finding food and cooking it a priority. Whether you’ve found some mushrooms or a boar, the principles remain the same when it comes to how to cook in The Wild Eight. With that in mind, here’s what you need to know.

One of the first things you may be struggling with when you first start The Wild Eight is exactly what you can and cannot cook. Well, pretty much any food item that you can pick up in The Wild Eight can be cooked and, as a result, will have improved restorative abilities or lack the side effect the raw version contains. Mushrooms are easy to find nearby your starting place in the game, so be sure to check for these until you’re ready to take down some beasts.

Once you’ve got your food, you’ll need to set up a campfire if you haven’t done already. Grab the required materials and set one up. Once you’ve done this, simply click on the food in your inventory you want to cook and drag it onto the campfire. You should now see it hovering above the campfire. When it’s cooked, the food will get thrown off the campfire into the nearby vicinity. Simply pick it up and voila, you’ve successfully cooked some food.

That’s all you need to know to cook food in The Wild Eight. For more tips, tricks, and information, be sure to check back with Twinfinite.
