Make Use of Crafting
Keeping up with the whole RPG angle in the game, Dragon Ball XenoVerse also has a crafting system. This allows you to create items that can be used in battle. For beginners and veterans alike, some of these items will prove to be invaluable when it comes to making your way to the end of a rather rough battle. You have quite a wide range of options, but there are some that you may want to give priority early on in the game.
Since Dragon Ball XenoVerse is first and foremost a fighting game, it isn’t beyond reason to expect injuries to occur. Everyone on the screen has access to the same abilities as you, so you can bet your bottom dollar that they will do their best to beat you down. One advantage you have is the ability to use items in order to bring everything back up. For this you should make sure to craft a bunch of Energy Capsules. They come in several different sizes but “S” should prove sufficient enough early in the game. You’re also able to bring companions during certain activities in Dragon Ball XenoVerse so you may want to invest in some Capsules with the “All” ability. These will share the healing between everyone and save you the hassle of trying to revive teammates.
Of course healing isn’t the only thing you need to concern yourself with. Early on in the game you have very limited Ki and Stamina pools, so bringing something to help refill those in a pinch may be a good idea depending on your play style. You can’t dodge without stamina, and you can’t use specials without ki so consider bringing some Power and/or Aura Capsules to help yourself out.
Keep in mind that you can only equip 4 items. If you equip an item in a slot and have more than one of that item you can still only use it once. If you plan on using Energy Capsules more than once you will have to equip one in as many slots as you desire. You may have tons of items, but the developers of Dragon Ball XenoVerse made sure not to break the balance by giving you free reign. Use your capsules wisely and you’ll be able to keep yourself in the fight.
