How to Play the Wraith Killer in Dead by Daylight
Clever is the name of the game when playing as the Wraith in Dead by Daylight. It’s imperative that you out-think the survivors and predict their movements. Invisibility is important, however it can be a big detriment if used improperly. Make sure to un-stealth in positions that aren’t visible by the survivors. Spooking them too early will cause them to run and if they get an ample head start you’ll find difficulty catching up with them. Note that while invisible your footsteps will still make noise and moving through tall grass or corn stalks can still alert the survivors to your presence. Choose your pathways carefully, use cover to your advantage, and stay away from well lit areas as you’ll give off a shimmer while invisible under bright light.
Don’t be afraid to spam the Wailing Bell, but don’t finish the actual cast time. By simply pressing the ability button you’ll give off a loud ringing sound and if continuously used, it can deeply confuse the survivors. They won’t be sure if your invisible or not and as such they won’t know exactly what to watch out for. Survivors can even be used to your advantage. If you manage to meat hook a survivor you can use invisibility to essentially camp their bodies and take down any ally that comes to aid the helpless victim. It may be worth it to consider following a wounded survivor for a period of time in case they seek healing from another. It may just lead you to two sacrifices instead of just one.
