Following the PS5 – The Future of gaming reveal event, Sony Interactive Entertainment released a press kit with plenty of official images of its upcoming PS5 console.
The images portray both the standard console with the disk and the digital edition without the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive.
We also get to see the dedicated headset, named “PULSE 3D Wireless Headset” with 3D audio support and its own dongle. It comes with two microphones for better noise cancellation.
The HD Camera is a 1080p resolution webcam with two lenses, while the MediaRemote is exactly what it says on the tin, but it comes with a built-in microphone to let you control your movie-swapping and streaming more intuitively.
The DualSense charging station can charge two controllers at the same time.
In case you’re wondering, Sony promised in the press release to reveal pricing details for the consoles and their accessories at a later time, without giving any indication on precise timing.
All we know so far is that the console will release in the Holiday season of 2020.
If you’re wondering, the small print also confirms that a PlayStation Plus subscription will still be required to play online, but I’m sure you weren’t really wondering.
