Marvel Hints at More Daredevil After Netflix Cancellation

Netflix and Marvel announced yesterday that the popular series, Daredevil, would be cancelled after three seasons. This left many feeling disappointed, as the third season was critically well received, leaving fans wanting more.

Today, however, Marvel issued a statement in regard to the abrupt cancellation of Netflix’s Daredevil.

“We are incredibly proud of the amazing show-runners and writers starting with Drew Goddard and Steven DeKnight, Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie and Erik Oleson, Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D’Onofrio, and our casts who brought our characters to life with such excellence, and every one of the fantastic crews in NYC. We look forward to more adventures with the Man without Fear in the future.”

This sort of leaves the door open for future Daredevil projects, despite not directly confirming it will be a show or film of any kind. Some are speculating the possibility of the show returning on Disney’s new streaming platform, Disney+.

This has not been confirmed in any way, and considering the mature nature of the show, it does not seem likely that this will be the case. A Variety post explains that Disney+ will be “laser-focused on family-friendly material”.

We look forward to the future of Daredevil and other Marvel TV shows, whether they end up on Disney+ or other streaming platforms. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what what Marvel decides to do with The Man Without Fear.
