After a heart attack over Christmas weekend, Carrie Fisher, best known for playing Princess Leia on Star Wars, has passed away in the hospital. Even though she is best known for playing Leia throughout the years, Fisher also reportedly went uncredited in helping to write numerous films such as Sister Act, Hook, and The Wedding Singer. She even gave writer’s notes for the Star Wars movies, with her notes from Empire Strikes Back in particular having made their rounds through the internet over the weekend. Fisher was also very outspoken about her bipolar disorder after being diagnosed in 1985, in addition to being an advocate for mental health awareness.

Carrie Fisher is survived by her daughter Billie Lourd, her mother Debbie Reynoldds, and her French bulldog Gary, who she took with her to the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
