While we’ve definitely seen crossovers between all of the Marvel movies and characters before, it’s definitely nice to know that Benedict Cumberbatch will be joining the cast of the Spider-Man movie to reprise his role as Doctor Strange, as reported by Hollywood Reporter.

His inclusion definitely makes sense after the events of Avengers: Endgame. With Iron Man officially out of the picture, Doctor Strange would certainly fit well into the mentor role for a young Peter Parker and help to push both their character arcs forward in a meaningful way.

The new Spider-Man movie will also see the return of Jamie Foxx as Electro, who had also played the same role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, starring Andrew Garfield. The movie is set to start shooting later this month.
