With the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Toon World event finally in full swing after numerous server errors and the game is allowing players to duel against the legendary Maximillion Pegasus. The creator of Duel Monsters has made his way into this title and you can now challenge him and even unlock him as a playable character. In order to battle this legendary duelist, players will first need to acquire Star Chips. These are a special, limited currency that can only be obtained by beating regular duelists in the hub world.

The amount you are awarded is randomized, as you can get a pretty sizable bonus from defeating different A.I. players. Once you have enough, go to the Star Gate and challenge Pegasus to a duel. He’s a rather tough opponent and relies more on trap cards than truly powerful monsters, so edit your deck accordingly. After you defeat level 10 Pegasus, you will be given a reward and some event points. These are going to be how you unlock him as a playable character as you’ll need to earn 35,000 before Toon World ends.

This is easily done if you keep playing level 20 Pegasus, as he will offer a 3x multiplier to any Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links player. Once you 35,000 this egotistical character will be all yours. There are also some rare cards you will want to collect by defeating him, so here’s every card that is unlockable during the Toon World event.

This event will only last until February 8, so make sure to play as many matches as possible with him before he’s gone forever.
