How to Flee Battles in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 helped finish off the Nintendo Switch’s first year, presenting fans with a massive world to explore while seeing out an engrossing main story. Now that story continues once again with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna – The Golden Age. The story expansion takes place 500 years before the main game and focuses on Jin, Lora, and the other heroes that fought to save the world from Malos. Just like in the main game, combat in Torna is fast-paced and challenging, and there may be times you find yourself going up against an enemy that’s simply too strong for your party. In those cases, it’s important to know how to flee battles in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna, so we’ll make sure you know how.

First off it’s important to note that there are certain battles related to the main story or sidequests that you can’t flee from. These will be marked by a red circle surrounding the battle area. Other than that you can flee from each and every battle in the game. While you’re engaged in combat hold down R1 (right bumper). This will bring up a quick tactics menu, and while holding down R1 you can press B to put your weapon away and disengage from combat. Now, you’ll need to actually run away from the enemy attacking you, until it stops giving chase. Don’t stop running until the enemy’s icon disappears from the top of the screen and the battle music stops playing. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna’s method of fleeing doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get away safely, as the enemy can still hit you, but it’s the best chance you have at getting away from a dangerous enemy.

That’s all you need to know about how to flee battles in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna. For even more tips, tricks, and guides on the game make sure to search Twinfinite.
