Smash Mechanic – Rodeo Stampede

In the wilds of Rodeo Stampede, you will need to dodge herds of animals and a variety of different terrain hazards in order to survive. However, sometimes the best method for breaking through a bottleneck of animals is to just charge straight through them with the smash mechanic. In order to smash through different animals and objects, you will need to upgrade your habitat to a certain number, as each successive level will give that animal more talents. It’s important to note not every animal can smash through others when upgraded, as speedy creatures like the ostrich are focused more around getting gold than creating havoc in the Savannah.

Using the elephant as an example, it has the ability to not only smash through rocks but if upgraded enough, it can plow right through other elephants. Each animal has a maximum of nine different talents that can be unlocked, so you will need to gather as many coins as possible. Once you’ve unlocked the smash mechanic it will automatically be installed into every animal of that type, regardless of rarity. If you want to increase your chances of survival, you’ll want to upgrade the buffalo pen first, as they are some of the most common animals in the game.

When actually playing Rodeo Stampede the smash mechanic is noted by a cone of wind that will form around the front of your animal. Players will only have a very short window to smash through objects or animals, so make sure to pick key areas such as tight ravines or busy rivers to utilize this ability. Some animals will also get a brief boost of speed or knock others away when it’s activated. However, just be careful with your steering if this happens.

Rodeo Stampede has a habit of ratcheting up the difficulty via speed increases, so hopping from animal to animal that can smash will make your life easier. The last thing you want to do is jump on the back of an elephant and drive it straight into a large rock formation.
