So you’ve traveled through countless dimensions, yanked rifts towards you, and beaten Emperor Nefarious once and for all. While the ending leaves things a little open for more adventures with Ratchet, Clank and Rivet, some players may be wondering if there’s a Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart secret ending that sheds any light on what players can expect in future instalments in the series.
The good news here is that, yes, Insomniac Games has included a secret ending, technically. The bad news is that it doesn’t provide any additional story details or teasers for what’s next for our dynamic duo (or technically gifted trio!). Instead, you get a bit of a fun song, instead.
Getting the Secret Ending in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
The secret ending in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is unlocked by beating the game on the Renegade Legend difficulty. This is the hardest difficulty setting in the game.
By beating the game on Renegade Legend difficulty, when the end credits roll, players will have Dr. Nefarious singing ‘Join Me at the Top,’ rather than the usual emphatic orchestral score that plays. You can check out the catchy tune playing in the end credits scene below.
As far as we’re aware, the only way you will get access to this version of the end credits is to beat the game on its highest difficulty setting, but if we uncover any other means of accessing it, we’ll update this post and let you know.
Is There a Post-Credits Scene?
No. Once you’ve seen Ratchet, Clank, Rivet and Kit kicking back and relaxing together with the Dimensionator safely recovered, that’s all you’ll see of our band of heroes.
That’s everything you need to know on the Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart secret ending. For more tips, tricks and guides on Rift Apart, head over to our wiki, search for Twinfinite, or check out more of our coverage on the game below.
