Everything You Need to Know About Crafting in One Hour One Life

One Hour One Life is a multiplayer survival game where you can eat, craft, farm, and hunt to survive. The game is actually created on a progressive server, so any progress you have made will transfer over and continue to develop.

One of the most important things you must learn when starting the game is crafting objects. Through crafting, players can produce equipment and other useful creations out of the materials you find in the world. Making something is actually fairly simple since you’ll have a crafting recipe whenever you hold or point at a certain material. The recipes are located on the lower right corner of the screen, and you can shift through the different things you can create with the tab button.

Combining items is just a matter of holding one item and tapping its craftable object to make something new. Some creations are fairly easy to make in One Hour One Life, such as the basket. All you need are two Reed Bundles to craft one and you’re all set. Other items, such as the bow and arrow, require players to make its base materials first before you can actually craft it.

To craft a Yew Bow in One Hour One Life, for example, you need to follow these steps:

  • Combine Milkweed Stalk + Milkweed Stalk to make a Thread
  • Combine Thread + Thread to make a rope
  • Combine a Yew Shaft + Rope to make the Yew Bow

That’s excluding the arrow, which is needed to create the actual Bow and Arrow. That said, there are around 300 objects to craft, with the developer releasing 100 new items each week. In the long run, creator Jason Rohrer hopes to make around 10,000 craftable items, ranging from cars to a “nuclear button” that can reset the entire server.
