Northgard: How to Increase Happiness

How to Increase Happiness in Northgard

Recommended Videos

Northgard has players taking on the role of a Nordic king, basically. You’ll need to take care of your little town’s economy, food production, infrastructure, and ultimately happiness. Making sure they stay happy is an important task, as an unhappy village will mean some negativity coming your way. If they’re unhappy, you’ll have a decrease to the amount of new villagers you’ll get, and this is a huge hindrance.

In order to keep happiness up, you’ll essentially need a thriving rule over the land. Your people can’t be going hungry (get your food production on with hunters, fishermen, farmers, etc.), you can’t have too many wounded (so build some Healer’s Huts), and you can’t be poorly defended (make sure you have Warbands). Your villagers will be happier the more ground you colonize, because having more space is seen as a positive thing. Additionally, you can build a Hall of Skalds. This helps you increase fame and happiness as well, so long as you train Skalds to inhabit them. Lastly, you can organize a feast (option found on the lower right-hand corner of the screen, above the Build option) to get more smiles going.

That’s all there is to it! If you need any more help with Northgard, leave a comment down below and we’ll try our best to help you out!
