Nioh – Unlocking New Characters

Recommended Videos

If you’re not a fan of William in Nioh, don’t worry – you can actually unlock new character skins and equip them so you don’t have to look at William’s face anymore. However, you do have to unlock the Hidden Teahouse first before you can do anything else. To unlock the Hidden Teahouse, simply progress through the game until you beat the main mission Spider Nest Castle in the Kinki region. This will unlock the Hidden Teahouse, which can then be accessed through the starting point menu.

Here, you’ll be able to purchase weapons, gestures, special items, and character skins with Glory points. The cheapest skin available is Hattori Hanzo, though you’ll also be able to purchase skins for Tachibana and even a default Revenant by saving up points. Glory points are earned by defeating Revenants and winning Clan Battles, so you’ll want to farm a few Revenants before actually unlocking the Teahouse. Once you’ve purchased a skin, select the Transform option at the Teahouse to equip it, and you’ll be all set. You can always revert to William’s default look whenever you want.
