Animal Crossing isn’t the only game to get swimming functionality lately. Thanks to this mod kicking off the start of our best Stardew Valley mods of June 2020 list, you will finally be able to swim for the first time in Stardew Valley.

Anywhere there is water in Stardew Valley, you will now be able to swim in it. Whether it be a lake, pond, or ocean.

Along with swimming, this mod adds new features that let you dive for treasure in the depths of the waters. All while enjoying the beautiful rainbow fish that swim around.

This mod was one of most popular mod out last month with with over five thousand downloads at the time of writing.

Furniture Set

New Stardew Valley Mods June 2020

Spice up your home in Stardew Valley with this mod that offers a bunch of new furniture items which all have a super cute and cozy aesthetic.

The items range from a porch swing with tangled vines to a flat screen TV, as well as a ton of new dining and seating options. There’s even a fully lit Christmas tree if you’re in the winter season and feeling festive.

Most of the furniture colors are white, dark brown, or yellow in this collection. Plants are used as accessories for a great deal of them as well.

Walk to the Desert Expansion

This massive mod adds four new areas to your Pelican Bay map that allows you to get to the desert completely on foot for the first time ever.

It comes with new foraging areas, new quarry areas, new monster spawn areas, one new shop, and one hidden NPC.

You’re still free to take the bus for a quicker trip. But if you want to fight some monsters or collect some precious materials you find along the way, you can now go on foot to get more done during your travels.

Shadow Cove

New Stardew Valley Mods June 2020

The Shadow Cove mod gives you an all new place to explore that is accessible by bus.

This new area is called Twinzzie’s Shadow Cove, and includes a cute little village inhabited by junimos. There’s flowers everywhere in this area, and you are able to interact with all the junimos individually.

The mod creator Twinzzie states the mod is still a work in progress, and plans to make all the junimos full NPCs in the future so you can have new dialog conversations with them and shop at their market stands.

Destroyable Bushes

As you might have guessed from the name, this mod finally allows you to destroy those pesky bushes that are always getting in the way.

You will now be able to destroy every type of bush with an upgraded axe that’s copper or better. Once destroyed, the bushes will also drop small, configurable amounts of wood.

Now you won’t have to adjust your path to get around those few bushes blocking your way when heading out of town.

Town School and New NPC

With this mod, Penny will no longer have to teach the Pelican Bay kids inside the library anymore. Now, they have their own school they can visit to do their learning.

The school is its own distinct building, with a huge classroom, refectory, playground, laboratory and much more. It has new dialog, schedules, and a ton of easter eggs hidden around inside.

There are also two all new cutscene that can be triggered before the construction of the school.

And finally, this mod comes with an all new custom NPC named Rose. She is a young girl from a neighboring village who comes to Stardew Valley to go to school. She can accept gifts, with her favorite items being Fairy rose, pink cake, starfruit and cranberry candy.

Custom NPC Lucikiel

Along with custom NPC Rose being offered in a mod this past month, this mod offers another with his own dialog, schedules, and more.

Lucikiel is a demon who was confined within an artifact by the Guardians of the Valley. He is described as a self-indulgent megalomaniac, and is summoned to Stardew Valley through JojaMart’s evil scheme.

He works for Clint in town collecting ore in exchange for a place to stay.

Lucikiel can be married, and comes with custom heart events, fight scenes, special schedules, and three unique animations.

The character of Lucikiel himself comes from the free-to-play mobile game King’s Raid. But you won’t need to know anything about King’s Raid to enjoy Lucikiel in Stardew Valley.

Fish Preview

New Stardew Valley Mods June 2020

This Fish Preview mod gives you a little preview window letting you know what type fish is on your hook every time you’re reeling in during the fishing minigame.

Fish you already caught will have a picture and their name below as seen above. However, to keep a little mystery all uncaught fish-types will have no picture and ‘???’ labeled as their name.

It works in languages other than English, and also can incorporate new custom content fish players may had added from other mods.

Multiple Spouses

If you’re the type who wants to experience every cutscene and dialog option in Stardew Valley, this mod allows you to have multiple spouses so you can check out all the heart events and spouse rooms in one playthrough.

Your farm will be bustling with people, as now you are able to purchase a Mermaid Pendant and have multiple spouses on your farm. You can date people while already married to see their heart events without having to divorce anyone.

You are also able to have children with whatever spouses you prefer, and all of their spouse rooms will be laid out side by side with decorative flooring in between.

Custom NPC Mike

Yet another mod out this month grants Stardew Valley owners a new custom NPC.

This new villager is named Mike, a college student at ZuZu University who seems to always be thinking about his future. He majors in engineering at school and is the nephew of Gus.

You are able to marry Mike if you wish, and comes with his own spouse room if you do choose him.

The mod grants 144 new lines, eight events, and festivals inclusions all centered around Mike.
