How to Heal and Restore Health Health in Metal Gear Survive
Metal Gear Survive brings some big changes to the series, setting the game in an alternate world after the destruction of Mother Base. While the core gameplay of sneaking, shooting, and close-quarters combat remains the same, Survive is going to be quite a different experience for fans.
In particular, one aspect of Metal Gear Survive that’s a bit different is healing and how to restore your health, which puts those survival elements to use. In Metal Gear Survive you’ll get general damage that’s easily healed by a healing spray. However, at some point, you’ll probably accrue specific damage that’s a bit tougher to stop. Most of the time this specific damage will require certain items to stop, like using Styptic Kits to stop the bleeding effect. In order to heal specific damage, you’ll need to bring up your menu and go to the Personal section, then select the type of damage you need to heal. On lower difficulties, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem to heal yourself, but if you bump up the difficulty you might find yourself getting damaged more and more, and having to stop and heal yourself. Just make sure to try and carry some items around with you at all times, to heal things like bleeding.
To use a healing spray, make sure it’s equipped, then hold the L1 or R1 button (depending on which side you equipped it) and press X (A on the Xbox One) to use it.
