Is Conan Exiles Cross Platform?

Conan Exiles is the latest entry in a long list of titles riding the popular open world survival genre trend. In it, the player character is saved from their death sentence by the legendary Conan the Barbarian, and sets out on a life of exile in the harsh desert wilderness. It is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows, and has a heavy emphasis on multiplayer combat and interaction. With that being said, you may be wondering whether it allows for cross platform play, so you can really open up your world.

At this point, cross platform play is not available in Conan Exiles, and it does not look likely that this will change down the line, either. On the game’s FAQ page on Steam, in answer to the question of whether the game will have cross-play/cross-buy (specifically between PC and Xbox One), Funcom community manager Jens Erik responded ‘no, that is not something we’ve planned.’

Though it is not impossible for their stance to change down the track – especially if Conan Exiles proves to have a thriving online community – the chances are not great at this point, particularly for those hoping for cross platform play between the rival PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
