How to Heal in Guacamelee 2
The combat in Guacamelee 2 is very deep. On top of the standard punch, Juan has six additional special moves, and four extra grapple throws, giving you loads of options on how to approach fights. Those fights can be quite tough, however, with you facing lots of enemies at once, often requiring you to use a particular move to break a shield. As a result, you’ll probably want to know how to heal or give Juan more health. Well, here’s everything you need to know.
Thankfully, while Guacamelee 2 can be tough at times, there are plenty of ways to heal in the game. Juan will be healed slightly every time he kills an enemy. You will see gold and red orbs come from an enemy when they disappear —the gold ones being coins for you to spend on upgrades, and the red ones being portions of health.
You will also notice that both gold and red orbs come out of wooden barrels when you punch them. They’ll often be scattered in areas between rooms of enemies, so make sure you take them out when you see them.
Juan will also heal fully whenever he passes one of those tables that save the game. You don’t need to interact with them, you will heal automatically by walking past it.
Finally, you will be able to increase Juan’s health using the upgrade boxes. As you explore the game, you will find pink boxes that contain a piece that can be used to increase your health. They will often be at the end of particularly tough platforming rooms or chicken challenge rooms. Simply break them when you see them and you’ll get one of the three heart pieces you need to increase Juan’s max health and heal slightly.
That’s all you need to know about how to heal in Guacamelee 2. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
