Developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox Software, Godfall is a brand new looter-slasher game that has just been released for the PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store. Players will be able to team up with each other and barrel through a series of missions while trying to farm enemies for better loot and equipment by the time they reach end game content. If you’re wondering whether there’s character customization in Godfall, here’s what you need to know.
How to Change Character Appearance in Godfall
To get straight to the point, yes, there is indeed character customization in Godfall. However, it’s not as in-depth as you might be expecting, especially if you’re used to other games of a similar genre like Destiny 2.
This game will put you in control of a main character named Orin, and that can’t be changed. What can be changed, however, is your Valorplate, which determines the look of your overall character, as well as your stats and your build.
You’ll unlock your first Valorplate after you complete the tutorial in Sunforge Temple, and you can unlock even more of those if you have enough Valorplate Cores and other specific resources.
In addition to that, you can also access the Cosmetics menu for each Valorplate to change up their theme and color.
From the menu, press the L3 button to access your cosmetics, and you’ll be able to change the skin for your Valorplate and equipped weapons if you have any skins available.
At the time of writing, the only available skins are from pre-ordering the game and getting the Ultimate Edition.
It’s likely that Gearbox will be releasing SHiFT Codes for the game in the coming days, and it’s possible that those will give you access to more skins as well.
That’s all you need to know about whether there’s character customization in Godfall. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
