When Fortnite’s Birthday Event Starts and Ends
Can you believe that on July 24, Fortnite turned 1? Sure, the first few months of its life, it was merely its PvE Save the World mode. However, skip forward 12 months and you can barely go a day without hearing someone referring to Fortnite or just talking about it with friends… or maybe you just can’t go a day without playing (we won’t judge). Well, to celebrate this milestone for Fortnite, Epic Games has announced a Birthday event that offers up a fresh set of challenges, alongside some equally neat rewards for completing them. That’s all well and good, but if you’re unable to play Fortnite while its Birthday event is on, what is one to do? Here’s when the Birthday event starts and ends.
According to the official blog post announcing the news, Fortnite’s 1st Birthday celebration will start on July 24, as you’d expect. You’ll then be able to start working towards the different Birthday challenges, which we’ve listed for you down below.
- Deal 1,000 damage to opponents
- Dance at different birthday cakes
- Play 14 matches
Completing all three of these challenges will get you some Birthday Cake back bling, as well as an emote, spray, and a healthy chunk of XP, acting as rewards for completing each challenge.
So how long do you have to complete these challenges for the Birthday event? Well, you’ve got a full two weeks (or a fortnight… ha… hahaha) to get them finished, as the Birthday event ends on Aug. 7. At least the challenges are nice and easy so there’s very little likelihood that you’re not going to be able to complete these at all.
And now you know when Fortnite’s Birthday event starts and ends. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding Season 5 wiki.
