FFXIV Stormblood: How to Get Artifact Armor & Gear for All Jobs & Classes

Prior to launch of Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, the FFXIV development team teased out some of the new artifact armor (or gear if you prefer), for all of the jobs new and old. Artifact gear in FFXIV often channels the job’s classic look from previous games (or inspired versions of them).

In order to get your hands on the new artifact armor for Stormblood, you’ll need to first get to level 70. At level 70, you can take on your final job quest. The job quest will come from the same NPC that has given you job quests to this point. Completion of the job quest will reward you with your new artifact armor gear which will be decent starting point gear, but long term will likely be more for glamour rather than practical use as new patches and content rolls in during the coming weeks and months.

Every expansion (including A Realm Reborn) has offered new artifact armor/gear for each job at some point during it’s lifespan. However, Stormblood introduces it much earlier right at launch alongside the completion of your job’s final quest. So enjoy the beautiful armor if it’s relevant to you, and if not, get the glamour going and fight in style. There’s absolutely no reason to wear ugly armor in Final Fantasy XIV, so don’t be caught dead wearing something embarrassing.
