Getting and Using Salt in Eastward

Salt is the main form of currency you’ll be using in Eastward; you need it for purchasing items, upgrades, and ingredients, so you’ll definitely want to collect as much of it as possible.

The good news is that you can accumulate it pretty quickly just by playing through the game naturally. You’ll get Salt by killing enemies, breaking barrels and jars that you find in dungeons, and by opening chests. Chests are by far the best way of yielding Salt as you’ll usually get at least 50 Salt from each one that you open.

The other piece of good news is that items are also generally pretty cheap in Eastward; the backpack upgrades, for instance, only go up in price by 50 Salt for each subsequent upgrade, which makes it fairly easy for you to get tons of expansions early on. Cooking ingredients are also pretty cheap, and they can be obtained in the wild too, so you’ll never need to worry about running out of ingredients for cooking better food.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use Salt in Eastward. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
