Diablo 2: Resurrected has arrived and it’s more or less the same game we all know and love from the early 2000s that ruined the sleeping habits of many teens and young adults. If you’re here, though, you might be a newer player wondering why your character is running so slow all of the time. While veterans of D2 will know the answer, those coming from Diablo 3 as their first game in the series might not. Here’s what you need to know about how to sprint and run faster in Diablo 2.
How to Sprint and Run Faster in Diablo 2
So you can sprint and run faster in Diablo 2 however, it’s not something you can do all of the time as much as you want like in Diablo 3.
In Diablo 2, even in the Resurrected version of the game, Stamina is its own resource in addition to Health and Mana.
Your Stamina is found on the bottom information bar and will slowly start to drain as you sprint. You are defaulted to walk without draining your stamina. However, if you press L3 on consoles or Ctrl on PC, you’ll start to sprint and drain that Stamina bar.
You’ll run faster until the bar runs out and then you’ll need to walk slowly again until the bar recovers. This is pretty annoying in the early game but will alleviate as your character levels up as long as you put points into Vitality (which most players do). Check out our guide on how to increase your Stamina if you need any more information about Stamina.
