What The New Max Level Cap Is in Destiny 2: Warmind

The second mini-expansion for Destiny 2, Warmind, is finally out and about. The expansion brings with it a new area on Mars, new exotic equipment, a story to run through and a new raid lair. Oh and of course, who could forget, our girl Tess has new cosmetic items in her shop on the Tower.

The expansion also raises the max power and level cap. In case you forgot these are two different things. The power level is what factors in for most events like the raid, strikes, nightfall, and more. However the level cap comes into play more for the story, with certain activities being locked out until you have reached a certain level.

In Destiny 2: Warmind, the new max level cap is level 30. This is up five levels from level 25 in Curse of Osiris, and 20 in vanilla Destiny 2. Each level you’ll get a Bright Engram gift from Tess, so make sure to visit the Tower often and cash those in, unless you don’t like free stuff.

Again, the level cap is important while going through the story, however keep in mind what your current power level is at, as that is the more important number when it comes to participating and being useful in new events like Escalation Protocol and the Spire of Stars raid lair.
