How to Play PVP in the Destiny 2 Beta

Recommended Videos

So you logged into the Destiny 2 Beta and were looking to jump directly into some Crucible action. After all, the story is for those who actually want to save the universe, you just wanna show the other Guardian’s out there who’s boss. You must first gain access to the PVP, which isn’t available as soon as you boot up the beta. Don’t worry, though, you don’t have to jump through too many hoops.

All you have to do is complete Homecoming, Destiny 2’s opening mission which covers the destruction of the Tower and your futile attempts to stop it. After that, you can quickly choose either of the available PVP modes in Destiny 2 by going to the Director and choosing either quickplay or competitive. Quickplay offers up Control, and Competitive opens up the new Crucible mode called Countdown. If you’re looking for some tips and tricks to help you get to grips with the Countdown PVP mode, you can check our handy guide here.

That’s all there is to it. During the beta, you can even earn loot in PvP, which includes both weapons and armor so you can try out even more weapon types. Get in there, have fun, and make them remember your legend.
