CrossCode: How to Fast Travel

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Developed by Radical Fish Games, CrossCode was first released for PC via Steam back in 2018 but it’s finally releasing for the Nintendo Switch this month. Players will take control of a mute heroine named Lea, as she dives into the world of an MMORPG called CrossWorlds in an attempt to regain her lost memories. This game is a lot bigger than it might appear, and there are many locations to explore. Here’s how to fast travel in CrossCode.

Fast Traveling in CrossCode

The world in CrossCode is deceptively huge, and as you progress through the game, you’ll unlock more and more locations to explore. You can get to most of these locations on foot and via teleporters, but eventually, you’ll have unlocked so many locations that it becomes hard to just manually run back to each of them. That’s where the fast travel function comes in.

Fast travel will only be unlocked when you’ve completed the first dungeon in the game. Once you reach CrossWorlds for the first time and clear the dungeon, you’ll be able to head over to Rookie Harbor and visit the first town in the world. Once there, you’ll unlock a landmark, and this basically functions as a fast travel point.

Hold the ZL button and press right on the d-pad and the A button to select the map, then use the analog stick to select the various landmarks you’ve already discovered.

You can then press the A button when you’ve selected a landmark to fast travel there immediately. Of course, this only works for landmarks that you’ve already discovered. Once you unlock them, you can teleport to that location whenever you want.

This is extremely handy for when you want to backtrack to previous locations to explore them further. Since fast traveling doesn’t cost you anything, you should use this feature liberally and as often as you’d like.

That’s all you need to know about how to fast travel in CrossCode. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
