This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Saving your progress, then, is something you’ll want to get into the habit of to keep yourself on track, so here’s how to save if you’re unsure.

How to Save in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night

Just as you’d expect from a game that’s a spiritual successor to Castlevania Symphony of the Night designed by the creator of Castlevania Symphony of the Night, Bloodstained’s save system is virtually a carbon copy design of that iconic game.

Before you’ll be able to save your game, you first need to find the appropriate room. You’re looking for a room with a large statue and sofa; there are dozens of these scattered around the map.

When you have discovered them, they’ll be marked red on your map, which should make locating them easier next time around.

To actually save your progress, walk to the middle of the room and press up on the d-pad to rest on the sofa. This will restore HP and MP and save your game.

Remember, there are no checkpoints in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, which means you’ll restart from your last save if you die. So we’ll say again: make sure you save your game often!

That’s everything you should need to know about how to save in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. For more useful information and guides on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite.
