More Load Screens

While Fallout 4 offers a seamless open world, the game still has its fair share of loading screens. While it isn’t exactly an issue, watching the same Bobble Boy (or Bobble Girl) over and over again can get a bit dull and repetitive.

If you want a bit more variety with your loading screens, you can use this Fallout 4 mod to mix things up. This mod comes with 100 scenes for the vanilla version and around 150 scenes for the mixed version.

These wallpapers range from different characters and gorgeous artwork, ensuring that no loading screen is ever boring. On top of that, this Fallout 4 mod even comes with a tutorial that teaches you how to make your own loading screen.

Samus Aran Powersuit

It’s the Nintendo crossover we’ve always dreamed about. While Fallout 4 won’t be getting any Nintendo-exclusive goodies anytime soon, modders are always finding ways to make these things happen.

As the mod name implies, you’ll be trading in your typical armor for something much more functional –Samus Aran’s very own power suit. Her armor doesn’t replace any of the power armors in Fallout 4, and it still provides exceptional protection against ballistics, energy, and radiation.

The power suit also comes with a neat jetpack you can use for aerial superiority. However, it is worth noting that only females can wear this suit.

Immersive Teleportation

This Fallout 4 mod is pretty straightforward, letting you build your own functional teleporters in the game. There’s an NPC who will talk you through how these teleporters work and how to build them.

You can place up to 10 teleporters in a settlement, with a total limit of 128 teleporters around the Commonwealth. Moreover, these teleporters can be named so you know just exactly where they lead to.

The mod also comes with a portable recall device that you can craft at the Chemistry Workbench. This device lets you warp to any of your teleporters once, which is handy when you’re in a bind.

No More Burnt Books or Comics or Magazines

There’s nothing worse than seeing a good book burned to the ground. Okay, maybe there is. The fact that you can’t recycle these burnt books, comics, and magazines for crafting makes these items absolutely useless.

They pretty much just take up space, so why not remove them from the game instead? This mod does exactly that, disposing of all of the burnt books, comics, and magazines from Fallout 4. Now you won’t have to worry about these cursed items taking your sweet space ever again.

Whispering Hills

Silent Hill fans are in for a treat with this spooky overhaul mod. Whispering Hills is essentially a Silent Hills-esque take on the world of Fallout 4, engulfing the world in thick fog.

As if the abandoned streets weren’t terrifying enough, now you have to deal with the unknown as any creature might suddenly lash out at your from the fog. Strange sounds also fill the air, and you might even find yourself absorbed in a completely different dimension.

If you want to take this mod to the next level, you can also check out the other Silent Hill nurse mod. It switches up ghouls for those notorious nurses you’d find in the horror game.

The Waste Landfill

The Waste Landfill mod adds a new island in Fallout 4 where you can scavenge materials and other useful resources. The area is definitely worth the trip if you’re running low on supplies, and it’s a great way to get everything in one location. This area even has all of the components needed for the Signal Interceptor in the main storyline.

Do take note, however, that there are synths that also occupy that area. If you’re a bit fainthearted, prepare for a few jumpscares here and there. If you want a more immersive scavenger experience, you can’t go wrong with The Waste Landfill mode.

Complaint of the Commonwealth

If you’re looking for another way to spook up your playthrough, you should definitely look into Complaint of the Commonwealth. This Fallout 4 mod adds almost four hours of eerie music, menu cinematic, and an overhauled UI.

These new assets look and sound like something straight out of a horror game. You could pair this up with the Whispering Hills mod and maybe toss in the Nurse mod along with this spooky scary radio. Who says you need another scary game when you have Fallout 4?

Cat Rifle

best fallout 4 mods

So, you’re sick of using the same weapons and want something else for a change. Why not just toss the pistols and pick up a cat instead? The cat rifle mod has finally found its way into Fallout 4, and it’s nothing short of adorable.

You can blast your enemies to shreds through the power of cuteness (and sheer firepower). All you need to do is just pet your cat to reload your gun and you’re good to go. It’s simple, functional, and most importantly – adorable.
