AI: The Somnium Files is the latest game from Kotaro Uchikoshi, best known for creating and writing the popular Zero Escape visual novel series. Here’s how to save your game in AI Somnium Files.

As far as we can tell, there doesn’t seem to be any form of auto-save functionality in AI Somnium Files, so you should definitely save your game manually whenever you want to quit out completely.

To do so, just press the square button to bring up the menu, choose Save, then choose your desired save slot to record your progress. You can have as many save files as you want.

  1. Press square to bring up the menu

  2. Choose the Save option

  3. Choose your desired save slot and record your progress there

However, if you’re worried about having to record your game data before making any important decisions in the game, you’ll be pleased to know that AI Somnium Files actually features a Flowchart feature similar to what we’ve seen in Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, Zero Time Dilemma, and the enhanced port of 999.

Essentially, you can access the Flowchart from your menu at any point in time, and jump back to any of your previously completed game chapters to replay them.

The Flowchart gives you a nice visualization of how the story flows, and how the story can branch off at different points in time.

You don’t have to worry about making wrong decisions, as you can always use the Flowchart to jump back to any checkpoint and choose a different option or path.

That’s all you need to know about how to save your game in AI Somnium Files. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
